Google Bookmarks Will No Longer Be Available

Google has recently announced that it will not be supporting Google Bookmarks on September 30th. This means that Google will officially halt their bookmark service and it will no longer be available after the fact. Therefore for those using this service, it is encouraged that you export your bookmarks in order to save it. You can do so by visiting google.com/bookmarks and navigate to “Export Bookmarks” to get a copy of your data.

This lesser known bookmark service should not be confused with the bookmark synchronization function with Google Chrome. This service is mainly used in Google Maps, on third-party apps and as a cross-device bookmarking tool. However, Starred locations in Google Maps will not be affected by the bookmark shutdown.
