EMCO Areas in KL and Selangor and SOP’s to Follow

Following Malaysian Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s announcement, certain districts in Selangor and KL will go under the Enhanced Movement Order (EMCO) from the 3 July 2021 to the 16th July 2021. Here is the list of the areas affected.

  • Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Kampung Baru Air Panas
  • Flat Desa Pandan (Termasuk Baiduri & Delima)
  • Kampung Batu Muda
  • Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Kerinchi

EMCO SOP

 

  • All roads leading in and out of PKPD areas will be closed and guarded by police
  • Only 1 representative from every household is allowed to get essentials outside from the house, within a 10km radius
  • No other movements outside the house is allowed after 8pm UNLESS of an emergency or vaccinations
  • Essential service workers will need a letter from employers or a valid employee pass
  • No Dine-in :only takeaways, deliveries and drive-thru allowed
  • All social, recreational, cultural activities are not allowed
  • All schools, mosques and house of worship will be closed
  • Areas affected will go through targeted screening tests by the Health Ministry

 

All economical sectors are not allowed except:

  • Eateries and restaurants (8AM-8PM)
  • Convenience stores and sundry shops (8AM to 8PM)
  • Petrol stations (6AM to 8PM)
  • Pharmacy (8AM to 8PM)
  • Vetenaries and pet food shops (8AM to 8PM)
  • Wholesale market (12AM to 6AM)
  • Public markets and  MyFarm Outlets (MFO) (6AM-2PM)
  • Utilities,cleaning and sewage (8AM-8PM)

 

Manufacturer sectors or producers allowed during EMCO:

  • Rice
  • White bread
  • Sugar
  • Cooking oil
  • Flour
  • Fresh milk
  • Baby milk formula
  • Drug
  • Face mask

 

Public transportation sector allowed to operate (including trains, e-hailing, taxis, buses, ferries, airport and ports)

  • Public transport passenger is capped at 50% capacity
  • Only two people are allowed in taxis and e-hailing rides (including driver)
  • People crossing district and state borders for Covid-19 vaccinations will have to show their MySejahtera appointments as proof
