Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has recently announced that Saloons, barber shops and car wash outlets will be able to open when the nation enters National Recovery Phase 2. However, only basic haircuts will be allowed during this time. Telecommunications, electrical appliances and stationary shops will be allowed to open. Furthermore, automotive, furniture, cement, ceramic, iron and steel manufacturing sectors will also be allowed.
In order to proceed to the next stage of our National Recovery Phase or (NRP Phase 2), Malaysia would have to reduce their daily Covid-19 to below 4,000. Furthermore, 10% of the population must be fully vaccinated and ICU beds returning to moderate levels of use.
