Village Grocer opens its first outlet in Penang on June 13

Village Grocer is a premium supermarket chain primarily located in Kuala Lumpur. This grocer started out in the 1950’s from a small grocery store at Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. Since then, they have expanded their business and have opened 20 outlets including an outlet in Johor.

The anticipation of Village Grocer in Penang has been steadily brewing since last year. This was because of their early announcement through their display on the hoarding stating that they were opening in City Junction, Penang. Though there has not been any official announcement from Village Grocer’s FB page on the opening date, netizens have spotted a banner near Penang Chinese Girls High School (PCGHS) showing that the opening date of the grocer is on June the 13th.
