Here are the steps to apply for a scholarship after you graduate from your university or college.
Step 1: Check your eligibility
You can apply for scholarship if you are:
- A degree holder
- Taking a full time degree course
- Obtained First Class Honours
- Completed the course within scheduled time
- Only for B40 and M40 families
- Ensure your course is approved by MQA
- Apply for waiver within 12 months of graduation
Step 2: Go to the PTPTN Website and click Pengecualian Kelas Pertama
Go to the official Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional website or click here for the direct link.
Step 3: Log in
Simply enter your IC number and your account number to log into your account
Step 4: Fill out the form
After successfully logging in, you will be able to see a form. Fill up your details and move onto the next step.
Step 5: Submit the required documents and complete your application.
The required documents are as follows:
- A copy of your degree certification
- A copy of your academic transcript
- If there is no statement of first class honours on your certification, a verification letter by your institution must be handed in to prove that you achieved first class honours.
- If the date of completion is not stated in your certification, a verification letter must be attached to show the duration of your studies.
- For private universities, a certified true copy of MQA certification must be attached
