The Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) has recently announced that 5 states in Malaysia have moved on to phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), starting today. This is because they have successfully achieved the conditions to move onto the next phase. In order to proceed to the National Recovery Phase 2, the states would have to reduce their daily Covid-19 to below 4,000. Furthermore, 10% of the population must be fully vaccinated and ICU beds returning to moderate levels of use.
These states are:
- Perlis
- Perak
- Kelantan
- Terengganu
- Pahang

- Automotive
- Furniture
- Ceramics
- Rubber
- Iron and steel
- Cement
Outlets
- Hair salons and Barber Shops (basic barber services only)
- Carwash
- Electrical goods
- Book and stationery stores
- Computers and telecommunications
Markets (7am-11am) (limited to food items only)
- Farmer’s market
- Morning markets
Government Offices
- Counter services will be open
- Office capacity cannot not exceed 40% and the remainder must take turns to work from home (not including frontliners, security, defence and law enforcement)
- Workers will need a worker pass and official orders in order to go back to the office.
