Based on the Pemulih Malaysian Recovery Package, the Malaysian Government has allocated RM 15 billion to subsidise 2.7 thousand workers to create the Wage Subsidy Program 4.0 or Program Subsidi Upah 4.0. This program will give each employee RM600 for a period of 4 months. The payment will be split into two parts. For the first two months, the payment will be given to all sectors during the NRP Phase 2. The remainder of the two months will be given during NRP Phase 3, to all sectors which have been listed in the negative.
Through this initiative, the government will subsidise up to 500 workers in each company. This is to help ease the financial burden of businesses who are affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Which in hope, will prevent employees from losing their jobs.
