Starting today, the Sarawak state government has now implemented a 7 day self quarantine for domestic visitors in addition to the 14 day quarantine that travelers have to face when entering the state of Sarawak. This additional quarantine is to ensure the safety of citizens living in Sarawak against Covid-19 and its variants such as the Variants of Concern (VOC) and Variants of Interest (VOI) that have been plaguing the peninsular. To ensure that travelers do not have the disease, a swab test will be held on day 10th of the 14th day of quarantine at their designated centers. Furthermore, the state also requires an approval of entry from the EnterSarawak system and a negative Covid-19 test 3 days prior to flying into Sarawak.
