Not able to meet your friends physically due to lockdown? Feel like spending time with your friends but not sure what to do? Well, I have just the solution. Here is a list of co-op games to play with your friends while we stay at home and stay safe.
1.Overcooked 2
Overcooked 2 is a cooking game where players have to collaborate and make different meals to serve. This great game will have you yelling at your friend in excitement to serve food before the whole kitchen burns down. The game has 6 worlds, each having their unique themes and types of food to make. Overcooked 2 is a game for 2-4 players and can be played with friends online or as a local co-op. You can also get this game for free from Thursday (17 June- 24 June).
2. Jackbox Party Pack
Jackbox Party Pack is a video game series where the host of the game (game owner) can select one of the many games available. The game will then be shown on the screen with a room code. Friends or family can enter the room code with your mobile device and can either choose to participate in the game or enter the game as an audience. If the host stays in a different location, the game will then have to be streamed in order for everyone to participate. However, only one person needs to own the game in order to play. The group games can accommodate players from 2- 100 players, depending on which game you decide to play. Although, 3-8 players are the most common player set.
3. It Takes Two
It Takes Two is a highly rated game from Electronic Arts and the creators of A Way Out which just released this year. This co-op game features an endless variation of video game styles and methods. Highly recommended for its replayability, teamwork and fairly long game length of 10-12 hours. Furthermore, only one player would have to purchase this game in order for the game to work. The other player can simply download the free version and connect it to the host.
4.Stumble Guys (Mobile)
If you don’t play any sort of games on your laptop or desktop, you may want to check out Stumble Guys. It is a knockout battle royale game akin to the famous Fall Guys. The combination of different obstacles and challenges makes it an interesting game to play on your mobile phone.This free to play game offers endless entertainment and fun for all parties.
5. Raft
Raft is a fun survival game in which players have to build and expand their raft in order to survive. You start off by using your hook to gather items and craft survival items. Fight with sharks and defend your raft as you go on to uncover the mysteries of the sea. This game supports up to 8 players.
6. Pummel Party
Pummel Party is a modern board game with mini games and fun twists! There can only be one winner, so strap in and battle your way through different terrains while defeating your friends in this exciting friendship-ruiner game. The game is best played with 4-8 people. However, if you don’t have enough people online, bots are available to fill up those spots. So you never have to worry about a lack of players ever again.
7. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a unique bomb defusing game where one player can view and interact with the bomb and the other player only receives a set of instructions that can be downloaded online. Therefore, both players must communicate clearly in order to diffuse the bomb. Fight against time with more complex levels as you go on!
8. Human Fall Flat
Human Fall Flat is a fun platformer game that combines ragdoll physics and puzzles. This game can be played solo or accommodate up to 8 players for a fun but perplexing time. Get access to 17 different levels and hours of fun with Human Fall Flat.
9. We Were Here
This free to play game will challenge your communication skills with your team mate or member. We Were Here is a co-op game in which they place both parties in different locations. The players would have to scramble and piece together clues to solve puzzles together in order to escape from the rooms. If you want more of We Were Here, they have a sequel called We Were Here Too!
10. Don’t Starve Together
Don’t Starve Together is a wilderness survival game in which players explore and battle against large environments, the dark and most importantly hunger. Together you will explore, craft, farm and defend attacks from various threats that are out to get you. This intricately designed game ensures that you will never run out of things to do. You can play together with other players or customise your biome and create a room just for your friends. The possibilities are endless with this game.
