Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Appointed as Deputy Prime Minister

Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has appointed the previous Defense Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the new Deputy Prime Minister. The newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister will also continue to oversee the Ministry of Defense portfolio. He will assist in managing the administration of the country and fulfill the needs of the people through this pandemic.

 

Furthermore, Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has now been promoted to Senior Minister. The Prime Minister’s Office stated that Datuk Seri Hishamuddin will now be Head of the Security Cluster and will also assist the Deputy Prime Minister in executing the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
