The Malaysian Government is giving special financial assistance to family members. Through the Bantuan Khas Pengurusan Kematian Covid-19 NADMA or the Special Aid for Covid-19 Deaths, the government will give a one off payment of up to RM5,000 to those who had a death in the family due to Covid-19. The payment will be made by Electronic Fund Transfer to the applicants within 30 working days
Who is Eligible?
The eligible parties for the aid are only for those who are Malaysian citizens. Only one representative is eligible to receive the financial aid. If in any case that two or more applications have been made for the same person, the first one to make the claim will be prioritised and given the financial aid.
Documents That You Need
- Application Form (Lampiran A) which is authenticated by the hospital which states that the death is related to Covid-19. You may download the form here
- Copy of Death Certificate
- Copy of IC of the departed
- Copy of IC of the claimer/ representative
- Copy of Bank Statement (still active) of the claimer/ representative
