The Malaysian Health Ministry (KKM) has started a cashless day initiative every Monday starting from 1 June 2021. This means that all financial transactions need to be made by either debit or credit card or JomPay. This initiative is to support the governments movement to increase the adoption rate of contactless payment and aid in the efficiency of the payment process.
The cashless day will begin in phases starting from these 8 facilities and expand to a further 115 locations throughout 2021.
Locations that have begun cashless payments every Monday:
- Hospital Kuala Lumpur
- KK Kuala Lumpur
- KK Cheras
- PKD Putrajaya
- KK Presint 9
- KK Presint 11
- KK Presint 14
- KK Presint 18a
Therefore, remember to bring your ATM card or any other form of cashless payments to these locations on Monday to ensure a smooth payment process.
