PKPD announced for Pekan Bayan Lepas |SOP Details Here|

The Malaysian Government has announced that Pekan Bayan Lepas, Penang will be under PKPD or EMCO starting from June 4 to June 17 2021. This is due to the alarming rate of new covid cases with 83 cases in the span of two weeks, 44 cases of which stems from Taman Sri Bayu. There also has been a high amount of cumulative cases within the year which was 250 cases and 4 deaths. 

 

Areas Affected

These are the areas announced for PKPD in Pekan Bayan Lepas Mukim 12 :

 

  • Taman Sri Bayu
  • Taman Bayu Tiara
  • Taman Bayu Nyaman
  • Pangsapuri Halaman Murni
  • Pangsapuri Bayan Permai
  • Taman Ara Indah 
  • Kg Bukit
  • Kg Lada
  • Kg Masjid 
  • Kg Perlis 
  • Pekan Bayan Lepas
  • Jalan Mahkamah

 

The area of closure starts from the Surau Kg Bukit (Surau Hijau) traffic light to the intersection of Jalan Mahkamah (Near Klinik Bayan Lepas and Man Borong).

 

PKPD SOP 

 

  • All roads leading in and out of PKPD areas will be closed
  • Only 1 representative from every household is allowed to get essentials outside from the house.
  • All economical sectors are not allowed except:
  1. Mini Markets (8am-8pm)
  2. Daily Markets/ Public Markets/ “Pasar Bergerak” (6am-2pm) Only limited to  2 times a week.
  3. Gas Station (6am-8pm)
  4. Restaurant/ F&B Outlets for take-away only (8am-8pm) 
  5. Clinics (follow normal operating hours)
  6. Banking Instituitions and Community Credit (8am-8pm)
  • All social, recreational, cultural activities are not allowed
  • All schools, mosques and house of worship will be closed
  • Exiting the house for other reasons than the activities stated will need PDRM permission
  • Essential workers working out of the PKPD areas will need permission from the PDRM and obey with the terms stated by JPBD.
  • Netizens located in PKPD area will also need PDRM permission to go outside the PKPD zone for emergency cases such as illness and death
  • Food rations from NGO’s, ADUN representatives and others will be arranged by the Pusat Kawalan Operasi Bencana Daerah (PKOB)
