Windows has just released a video on Youtube featuring a collection of windows startup sounds that have been slowed down by 4000% to create an interesting slow-fi remix. This teaser is made for those who are too excited about the windows event later this month. The tech giant has planned to release further details on the “next generation of windows” which has made many to speculate on the release of windows 11. The event will be taking place on the 24th of June at 11pm Malaysian time with CEO Satya Nadella and chief product officer Panos Panay presenting.
What to Expect
New significant changes in the UI codenamed “Sun Valley” is expected to be announced during the upcoming windows event. This includes more visually appealing elements like rounding off corners of buttons, start menus, jump lists and app windows, making the interfaces more consistent and simplifying the user experience overall. It is also rumoured that the taskbar will have a new centered design and it will also be made easier to use for those who are using touchscreens.
New features in order to boost productivity such as the news and interests widget will also be expected. Furthermore, Microsoft may be introducing a new battery usage chart that informs users of which apps are using more battery power followed by useful tools to prolong the battery life. Snap assist will also be getting an update in order to help users organise their screen more efficiently. It will now remember which apps are snapped into which areas even after you disconnect. Moreover, there are also rumours that Microsoft will introduce a new app store for windows, dashboard features and widgets panels. Pen users may be getting a dedicated context menu for ease of use. Tablet users may also finally get more gesture shortcuts.
